Where did you work before joining Scharf Group? Aside from a history of digging dirt with several landscaping companies through high school and early college, I spent 5 years at The Brewery in State College, PA.  Post college, I spent 8 1/2 years with The Hartford Life and Annuity Company, followed by an affiliation with NEXT Financial Group, Inc.

What do you like best about working with Scharf Group? The freedom to provide solutions on a case-by-case basis, rather than many others' approaches of simply selling financial products.

Zodiac sign? Sagittarius

Favorite color(s)? I don't have one

Where did you go to high school? Great Valley High School (1993)

Where did you go to college/university? Pennsylvania State University (1999)

Additional Degrees? Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor

Where in this country would you like to visit that you have not been? Denali National Park.  It's about as off the grid as one can possibly get.

Where outside of this country would you like to travel? While I am more of a homebody, I think Okinawa is amazing from a cultural and historical standpoint.

Favorite book(s)? Band of Brothers, We were Soldiers Once...and Young.  Both encapsulate some of the most amazing sacrifices that one could possibly imagine.

Favorite author(s)? Very fond of Mark Twain and John Steinbeck's work as they capture their time periods like few ever have, amongst a slew of non-fiction writers in no particular order.

Favorite movie(s)? Saving Private Ryan for its historical accuracy and attention to detail.  It's certainly a Hollywood product, but you get an amazing feel for the experience.

Favorite TV show(s)? Whatever The History Channel provides me.  I trust their judgment.

Favorite food(s)? Sushi, and that which comes from my grill during the summer months.

Favorite restaurant? Mikado in Cherry Hill, NJ.  Arguably the best sushi within striking distance.

Favorite sport(s) to watch? Football, as it is the perfect male soap opera.  Statistics and drama.

Favorite person(s) (deceased) you would like to meet and why? Every living president, presuming they could speak without reservation.  I have a lot of questions.

Favorite person(s) (deceased) you would like to meet and why? Every deceased president. I have even MORE questions.

Other tidbits: I may not be what folks expect when it comes to financial services.  My thoughts and ideas are generally grounded in reality and based on an eclectic set of experiences in my own life.  Spending most of my childhood and adulthood without financial means provides great insight into how to make the most out of what you have, while working methodically towards improving one's outlook and result.
